Most powered nasal irrigators use a single pump that pushes saline through your nose and lets gravity drain it. Nasalix runs two pumps in tandem. One delivers a precisely controlled saline rinse. The other actively suctions waste fluid out the moment it passes through.

Why saline works.
Saline doesn't kill anything. It physically removes things. Mucus, allergens, viral particles, bacterial debris, irritants. The osmotic balance of the saline solution matches your nasal tissue, so it rinses without irritating the cilia that line your nasal passages.
Those cilia are doing the real work. They're tiny hair-like structures that move mucus through your sinuses constantly. When they're clogged with allergens or thickened mucus, they can't move. Saline frees them. They do the rest.

Things to know before you start.
- Use distilled or pre-boiled water only.Tap water can contain organisms safe to drink but unsafe for nasal use. Saline packets sold by Nasalix are designed to mix with distilled water.
- Skip if you have an active sinus infection.See your GP first. Nasalix supports recovery from sinusitis but isn't a treatment for acute infection.
- Talk to your ENT first if you have a perforated eardrum or recent ear surgery.Pressure changes during nasal irrigation can affect a healing eardrum.
- Replace saline every six months.Saline packets have a shelf life. Check the date stamped on each packet before use.
